Rangers want over £25 million, a fee that with add-ons could bring a Scottish record sale and be more than three times the amount they initially paid. However, there is doubt that Galatasaray will match the asking price, as Turkish teams frequently bargain and seek free agents or players in the latter stages of their contracts.

According to Turkish journalist Seren Dag, Galatasaray have added Rangers striker Youssef Chermiti to their shortlist of transfer targets. Rangers have set an asking price of €25m (£21.5m) for Youssef Chermiti. That fee would be a club-record amount for Rangers to receive for a player, surpassing the €23m (£19.8m) they received from Ajax for Calvin Bassey. It is currently unclear if the Istanbul club would be willing to pay that amount, or whether Chermiti would be willing to make the move.
