Youssef Chermiti Transfer from Everton to Rangers
Rangers are considering Youssef Chermiti as a potential alternative to Bojan Miovski. Everton is open to sending Chermiti out on loan, as he has struggled to adapt during his two-year tenure at the club. The link to Rangers comes through their sporting director, Kevin Thelwell, who was at Everton when they acquired Chermiti from Sporting CP for approximately £11 million in 2023, and he is eager to bring him to Ibrox. Chermiti has made 24 appearances for Everton but only started three times, with none occurring last season. It is generally anticipated that negotiations for Chermiti, Miovski, or both will only be pursued once the futures of Cyriel Dessers and Hamza Igamane are settled. Both players have attracted significant interest this summer, but no acceptable bids have been received yet. Currently, Martin is ready to begin the season with Dessers, Igamane, and Danilo as his strikers. However, the preferred course of action would be to facilitate a sale to enable them to pursue one of their targets.
