Nottingham Forest are among several Premier League clubs watching 23-year-old English midfielder Tyler Morton, who joined Lyon from Liverpool in August for a fee of approximately £15 million. Due to his impressive form in France, it is reported that Crystal Palace and Brighton are also watching him, while Tottenham and Newcastle have monitored his progress. According to sources, Lyon are not looking to sell the midfielder, but it is expected that the French club will find it difficult to resist the opportunity to more than double their investment within a year because of their recent financial struggles. Liverpool have a 20 per cent sell-on clause but do not have a buy-back option for the player. Morton has 13 caps for the England U21 side and has made 12 appearances in Ligue 1 this season, scoring one goal and providing one assist. His contract with Lyon runs until 2030, and his market value is estimated by Transfermarkt to be €12.00m.
