Borussia Dortmund were linked with Troy Parrott earlier in the year and had sent scouts to watch him on numerous occasions. Mick Brown said Parrott has decided that he wants to stay on the continent, especially considering the clubs showing an interest. Parrott's manager, Lee-Roy Echteld, stated that they all know the player wants a transfer. Echteld added that he does not think they will keep him, but if he stays, they will use him.

According to The Independent, AZ is prepared to let Troy Parrott leave this summer if a suitable offer is made. Parrott has previously been linked to Borussia Dortmund.
