Steven Moreira, a 31-year-old Columbus Crew player, was spotted inside Celtic Park during their 3-1 defeat to Rangers. Moreira, a versatile Cape Verdean and French international, has one year remaining on his deal with the MLS club after signing a contract extension at the end of the year. It is understood it would cost around £700,000 to secure the player, who was previously converted from a right-back into a central defender by his mentor, Wilfried Nancy. Moreira joined Columbus Crew in August 2021, has earned 17 caps for Cape Verde, and has a current market value of €1.50m, according to Transfermarkt.
