Preston North End are trying to sign Stan Mills from Oxford United and aim to complete a deal for under £2m. According to journalist Alan Nixon, Preston are attempting to sign Mills from Oxford United, which is described as having financial difficulties, following their relegation. Oxford are willing to sell for an acceptable price. Mills did not travel to Spain with the squad for their pre-season training camp and it is generally expected that he will leave the club, where he was the 2025/26 Player of the Season.
