Bologna are said to be very interested in Schalke midfielder Soufiane El-Faouzi, who Schalke have reportedly valued at £10 million. Schalke's sporting director Frank Baumann stated that El-Faouzi was never a candidate for sale and will not become one. Baumann also said the club is in a strong position financially and is not under intense sales pressure.

Galatasaray is monitoring the situation of Soufiane El-Faouzi. In addition, clubs like Bologna FC 1909 are also closely monitoring him and would be willing to invest between 12 and 13 million euros to sign him in the next transfer window.

Bologna, Celtic, Brentford, Sunderland, and Rennes are among several clubs interested in Schalke's German-Moroccan midfielder, Soufiane El-Faouzi. The 23-year-old gained attention after assisting the Gelsenkirchen club in their return to the Bundesliga. Schalke intends to retain the player and has valued him at €12 million (£10.3 million). El-Faouzi's contract with the club is valid until 2029, and his market value on Transfermarkt is currently €4.00m. The current asking price comes after reports of offers of at least €8.5 million in January 2026 and an asking price of up to €10 million in March 2026. He moved to Schalke in July 2025 from Alemannia Aachen for a fee that was reported to be approximately €200,000.
