Sunderland has an interest in Stoke City's 27-year-old Welsh international winger Sorba Thomas. It is also reported that Fulham is interested. However, newly-promoted Coventry City are said to have the most serious interest. Coventry are leading the pursuit of Thomas, for whom Stoke City will demand a fee of around €25m (£22m). Thomas, who has 25 caps and 2 goals for Wales, joined Stoke in July 2025 and is under contract until June 2028. His current market value is listed by Transfermarkt as €10.00m.
