Italian player Simon Straudi (27) is set to join Dynamo Dresden from Energie Cottbus to provide a solution at right-back. The South Tyrolean player will complete a medical at the start of next week before signing a two-year contract until 2028. Straudi, whose market value is €350,000, is joining on a free transfer because his one-year contract in Cottbus had expired. Dynamo sought a backup for Jonas Sterner, and Straudi is expected to accept this role. He offers defensive qualities and the versatility to play on the left. He joined Energie Cottbus in September 2025, and during the 2025/2026 season he made 20 appearances and provided one assist in the 3. Liga.
