Preussen Münster sporting director Jan Uphues said it was necessary for the club to take action when Shin Yamada completed his loan move at the end of January because they had a lot of injuries. Uphues added that everyone is healthy again now, which has resulted in more competition. He further stated that while Yamada has not had as many opportunities as he would have wanted recently, Uphues is certain the player will be given an opportunity to play in the remaining five matches in Bundesliga 2.

Shin Yamada's loan move to Preussen Munster in January was intended to provide more game time and improve his situation. The Herald reported that then-manager Alexander Ende stated that the German second-tier club brought in loan players such as Yamada because of injuries. Since the injuries have resolved, it is unlikely the player will have a significant role for the rest of the season.

Shin Yamada is leaving Celtic. The forward failed to score in his 11 appearances for the club and has not yet scored for Preussen Munster, where he is on loan. The Bundesliga 2 side will not activate their option to buy Yamada. According to a report in the Glasgow Times, many players will leave the champions in the summer and Yamada is among the players expected to leave.

Shin Yamada has joined Preussen Munster on loan until the end of the 2025/26 season. Yamada has featured only 12 times for Celtic since being signed from J1 League side Kawasaki Frontale last summer.
