Bologna forward Santiago Castro has been linked with a potential move to Flamengo. According to the Brazilian outlet RTI Esporte, which was investigating these claims, Arsenal are also contenders to sign the Argentine.

Santiago Castro was suggested to Flamengo at the beginning of the year when the club's negotiations for Kaio Jorge were not progressing. Flamengo's management presented the option to then-coach Filipe Luís, who did not favor pursuing the Argentine player. If the new coach approves renewing interest, the Italian press reports that Bologna now values him at a minimum of €40 million.
