Atlético de Madrid is monitoring River Plate goalkeeper Santiago Beltrán, an Argentinian-Italian who is regarded as a significant prospect in his country. The 21-year-old, who is being considered by the senior Argentina national team, has also attracted interest from other clubs, including Aston Villa, Benfica, Real Betis, and Manchester City. In response to the attention from abroad, River Plate has renewed Beltrán's contract until December 2027 and has set a release clause of 21 million euros. Beltrán joined River Plate in January 2025 and has played one match for Argentina. According to Transfermarkt, his current market value is €9.00m.
