Sam Field Transfer from Queens Park Rangers to Norwich City
According to sources for Football Insider, Sam Field is undergoing a medical at Norwich City after they agreed to sign him on loan from Queens Park Rangers. Derby County and Charlton Athletic were also interested in signing the 27-year-old, but Norwich City reached an agreement before them. The loan is agreed until the end of the season. Sam Field has had few regular starts this season, with 10 of his 18 appearances in all competitions coming from the bench. He has been keen to move away on loan before tonight’s 7pm deadline and will finalise the deal after undergoing medical checks. Field signed a new contract at QPR last summer but is now prepared to leave on loan.
According to Sky Sports journalist Anthony Joseph, Norwich City are in advanced talks to sign Queens Park Rangers central midfielder Sam Field. The reporter claims that the Canaries are hopeful they can complete a deal for the left-footed midfielder before the deadline passes this evening. Sky Sports adds, via their live feed, that the 27-year-old English player is expected to be in Norfolk this afternoon to complete the remaining formalities before the club can announce the move. Field joined Queens Park Rangers in July 2021 and has made 18 appearances and provided 1 assist in the 2025/2026 Championship season. His current market value is €3.00m.
