Previous reports from the Daily Mail in May stated that a number of Championship clubs, including Norwich City, were interested in acquiring Aribim Pepple. It is also stated that Portsmouth must now proceed with trying to agree to terms before another party, such as Norwich City, can intervene to secure the deal.

Norwich City is among a group of clubs considering a summer move for Plymouth Argyle's Bim Pepple. Championship teams Portsmouth and Watford, along with League One champions Lincoln City, are also interested in the 23-year-old Canadian and English striker. Interest is also said to come from clubs in the MLS, mainland Europe, and Rangers from Scotland. It is understood that some interested parties are willing to triple Pepple's current salary. Plymouth manager Tom Cleverley has confirmed that the striker's contract contains a release clause of an unspecified value, which could be activated by a number of teams in the coming months. Pepple joined Plymouth in July 2025, is yet to be capped for Canada, and has a current market value of €175k according to Transfermarkt.
