Romain Perraud Transfer from Real Betis to LOSC Lille

Mundo Deportivo reports on the transfer of French left-back Romain Perraud to LOSC Lille. French left-back Romain Perraud left Betis' training camp in Marbella and has undergone medical examinations prior to his signing with LOSC Lille, with whom he will sign a three-year contract.

Romain Perraud is set to join Lille as a left-back. He is currently on a plane and will be operational immediately upon arrival. The Lille president has been following him for a long time and previously attempted to bring him to the club before he moved to the Premier League. The transfer was finalized with the cooperation of Betis' management.

Mundo Deportivo reported that Real Betis and Lille OSC have come to an agreement on the transfer of French left-back Romain Perraud. The agreement entails Real Betis receiving approximately three million euros, plus additional variables, which is comparable to the amount they initially paid for him a year ago from Southampton, which was 3.5 million euros. Romain Perraud, who is 27 years old, participated in a training session with Real Betis on Thursday morning, directed by the Chilean coach Manuel Pellegrini in Marbella. Following the session, he bid farewell to his teammates and coaching staff after dinner. He is expected to arrive in France shortly to complete a medical examination and finalize a three-year contract with Lille OSC.

Romain Perraud is transferring to Lille from Betis. An agreement has been reached between all parties. Lille was in search of a left-back following the departures of Ismaily, Gabriel Gudmundsson, and Mitchel Bakker. Romain Perraud will now compete with Vincent Burlet, who returned from a successful loan at Le Mans.

L'Équipe has reported on Lille's pursuit of Romain Perraud, emphasizing the potential transfer of the player from Betis. According to the report, Lille is making progress in their efforts to acquire Romain Perraud, who will not be retained by Betis despite his contract running until 2029. The publication noted that Perraud finds Lille's project appealing. Betis, having signed Junior Firpo and retained Ricardo Rodriguez, is open to Perraud's departure. It was mentioned that Perraud was not included in the squad for a friendly match against Coventry and his participation in the upcoming match against Sunderland remains uncertain. Should the transfer be finalized, Perraud would make a return to Ligue 1, where he previously played for Nice and Brest.

Lille is reportedly in advanced discussions to sign Romain Perraud, with both parties optimistic about reaching an agreement soon. Perraud, a 27-year-old left-back, featured for Betis last season, making 41 appearances and contributing 2 goals and 2 assists. He has previously been part of Paris FC, Brest, and Nice. Sources indicate that Lille, managed by Bruno Génésio, has been actively seeking a left-back, identifying Perraud as their prime target. The club considers him an experienced candidate to bolster their defense. Perraud could soon be making a move to Lille, marking his return to French football. Transfermarkt currently values him at 5.00 million euros.
