Strasbourg, a semifinalist in the last Conference League and part of the same ownership group as Chelsea, showed interest in Spanish left-back Roger Hinojo's situation this summer. The French club was one of several interested clubs. Spanish top-flight teams Elche and the newly promoted Racing de Santander also proposed a loan with a purchase option for the player. The most recent Polish champion, Lech Poznan, submitted a formal offer of three million euros, but Espanyol declined this bid and all other proposals for Hinojo. Hinojo renewed his contract until 2030 last year. The 21-year-old made 37 appearances in LaLiga2 and one in LaLiga during the 2025/2026 season, contributing one goal and one assist. His current market value is €1.00m, according to Transfermarkt.
