According to reports, Wolfsburg are interested in defender Phil Neumann. It is stated that any clubs tracking Neumann have been informed a deal is not possible this month, and that it may be revisited in the summer if the German player is looking to move.

According to reports, VfL Wolfsburg and Hellas Verona are interested in signing Birmingham City's 28-year-old German centre-back Phil Neumann before the upcoming deadline on February 2nd. Sassuolo, another Serie A side, is also interested in the defender. Verona is seeking to sign a centre-back before the window closes. This interest in Neumann comes months after he moved to Birmingham from his former club, Hannover 96, on a pre-contract agreement. His contract with the English club runs until June 2028, and he has a current Transfermarkt market value of €3.00m. Neumann has made 10 appearances for Germany at the U20 level. Reports from late 2024 stated that before he joined on a free transfer, Hannover 96 had rejected a €4 million offer for the player from Birmingham City.
