Pepê's entourage received several exploratory contacts regarding a potential transfer during the last transfer window. According to Record, Pepê was aware of interest shown by Flamengo. The player decided that the timing for a departure was not suitable and did not encourage the interested parties.

According to ESPN, Flamengo presented an offer of around 25 million euros for Pepê during the summer, which was rejected by FC Porto's board. The same source reported that another Brazilian club, Palmeiras, also approached a similar valuation for the winger but signed a different player for the position. Pepê is a 28-year-old Brazilian international who joined Porto in July 2021 and has a contract until June 2028. His current market value is €22.00m, according to Transfermarkt. In the current 2025/2026 Liga Portugal season, he has contributed 2 goals and 2 assists in 9 appearances.
