Celtic confirmed on Tuesday evening that Paulo Bernardo has departed to join Polish side Górnik Zabrze on loan, a deal which includes an option to buy for the 24-year-old Portuguese midfielder. The midfielder's exit occurred after he was not included in Martin O’Neill’s plans. The ex-Benfica player signed with a new agent in April. He had a lower priority in team selection following an injury and a change in management after he was signed permanently in the summer of 2024. The Portugal U21 international has 32 caps and 11 goals, and his market value is currently €3.50m, according to Transfermarkt.
