Patrik Farkas, a 19-year-old Hungarian midfielder, has been released by Blackburn Rovers following the end of his contract after four years in the club's youth system. Farkas is in advanced talks to join Liverpool on a two-year deal. The transfer would be a return to the Merseyside club for Farkas, who was registered with them for a year before his 2022 transfer to Blackburn, and would result in him joining his younger brother Erik at Liverpool. Farkas has earned two caps for the Hungary U19 team. For the 2025/2026 season, he made 10 appearances in the Premier League 2, in addition to four appearances and one goal in the Premier League Cup.
