Oscar Cortés Transfer from Rangers to Huracán

Oscar Cortes's loan with Sporting Gijon is set to be terminated for a move to Club Atletico Huracan in Argentina in January. The move would be another loan until the end of the season, with an option to buy likely to be included in the deal. According to a post on X by Daniel Alonso, Cortes is training separately from the main squad as the final details of his exit are being agreed upon. The move to Huracan will only be possible after that is completed.

Oscar Cortés is travelling to Argentina to join Club Atlético Huracán, according to AS. AS in Colombia reports that an agreement is in place for the player to join Huracán. According to La Voz de Asturias, the agent for Cortés has secured his departure to Club Atlético Huracán. However, the transfer is not yet finalised, as Sporting Gijón must end his loan stay before Rangers can send him on loan to Argentina.

Colombian journalist Pipe Sierra has stated that Rangers are loaning Oscar Cortes to the Argentine club Huracan for 2026. It has been suggested that Rangers are including an option to buy in the proposed loan. The financial details of the option to buy are currently unknown. Oscar Cortes' contract at Rangers is valid until the summer of 2029.

Oscar Cortes is in talks to join Huracán on an initial 12-month loan deal with an option to buy, which would end his loan spell with Sporting Gijon. Talks are ongoing between the clubs, and according to sources close to the situation, an agreement has not yet been reached.

Oscar Cortes is likely to move to the Argentine side Huracan as he seeks more game time. Cortes has already played for both the Ibrox side and the Spaniards, but a provision will allow him to bypass the rule that a player can only play for two teams in one season. This is because the Argentine football calendar differs from the UK's. Huracan's new campaign is set to begin on January 24.

Rangers winger Oscar Cortés is signing for the Argentinean Primera Division club, Club Atletico Huracan. The deal is a one-year loan which includes an option to make the move permanent. According to César Luis Merlo, the Colombian winger's loan at Sporting Gijón is being cut short.
