Cortes is signing for Club Atletico Huracan. The Argentinean Primera Division club is signing the 22-year-old Colombian and Rangers winger on a one-year loan, which includes an option to make the deal permanent. Huracan’s league season begins later in January, and he could join the Buenos Aires club on a full-time basis later in 2026.
César Luis Merlo reported that Óscar Cortés, a Colombian winger, will play for Huracán, that his loan at Sporting Gijón is being cut short, and that Rangers, who own his registration, are loaning him for one year with a purchase option. Due to FIFA’s rules, Cortes can only play again for a club starting a new season in 2026, like Huracan in Argentina. The winger, who has two caps for Colombia U23, made five goalless appearances for Sporting Gijón in LaLiga2 this season. Rangers had signed Cortés from Lens in July 2025 for a reported €5.3 million. His current Transfermarkt market value is €2.00m.
