Glasgow Rangers have submitted a formal written offer of €4.5 million in guaranteed upfront cash for Ognjen Ugrešić, a 19-year-old Serbian-Hungarian central midfielder. Rangers are seeking a swift completion, aware that Partizan Belgrade requires funds ahead of UEFA monitoring deadlines and their Conference League qualifiers. However, Partizan considers the bid insufficient for their vice-captain and is seeking a fee closer to €5.5 million, in addition to a significant future sell-on clause. It is reported that the player's €15 million release clause gives the Serbian club leverage in the negotiations. Ugrešić joined Partizan in January 2025 and is under contract until 2030. According to Transfermarkt, his current market value is €10.00m. The Serbia U21 international, with 4 caps, scored 9 goals and provided 4 assists in 48 domestic league appearances last season. Several other clubs have been linked with the midfielder, including Bologna and Sassuolo.
