Odsonne Édouard Transfer from Crystal Palace to Girona
Odsonne Edouard is close to finalizing a move to Girona as part of a swap deal. Crystal Palace has consented to a reduced-price deal valued at £5.2 million, given that Edouard is in the last year of his contract. Earlier this summer, there were suggestions of him possibly returning to Celtic. The transfer involves a swap arrangement, with Girona's Arnau Martínez set to join Crystal Palace for a fee of £8.7 million. Edouard's transfer to Girona follows a tough stint at Crystal Palace, during which he was loaned to Leicester City last season but only played for one minute. Upon his return to Palace in the summer, he was informed that he was not included in Oliver Glasner's plans, which led to the move to La Liga. Crystal Palace originally acquired Edouard from Celtic for £14 million in 2021, and the current deal enables them to mitigate their losses. At Girona, Edouard may potentially form a partnership with former Aberdeen player Bojan Miovski.
