Nils Zätterström Transfer from Malmö FF to Sheffield United
Malmö FF announced on their website that Nils Zätterström has been sold to Sheffield United. Earlier reports from Sportbladet indicated that Sheffield United, a club in the Championship, had offered Malmö FF more than 30 million kronor for the 20-year-old player. Transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano later reported that the deal had been finalized, with the transfer amounting to 37 million kronor. Malmö FF's sporting director, Daniel Andersson, shared that he had mixed feelings about letting go of a young homegrown talent but recognized that the offer was beneficial for both the club and the player. Zätterström, who joined Malmö at eight years old and advanced through their academy to make his senior team debut in 2024, has played 41 matches, scoring three goals and providing one assist. He conveyed his immense gratitude towards Malmö, mentioning that the club will always be his team, and emphasized the crucial role the club had in his growth as both a player and a person. Andersson remarked that although they would have preferred to retain Zätterström to further his development at Malmö, they comprehended his ambition to challenge himself in a new setting and wished him success in England.
