Sheffield United are monitoring Norwegian defender Henrik Heggheim as they assess potential recruits from across Europe. Stoke City have also been linked with the 25-year-old Eliteserien player. Although United’s interest in Heggheim has not been publicly confirmed, the club is reportedly short of players at centre-half and manager Chris Wilder has specifically identified Scandinavia as a market the Blades could explore. Heggheim, primarily a centre-back who has also been used at right-back, is impressing in a league the club is actively scouting. The former Norway U21 international joined Viking FK in August 2024 and is contracted until the end of 2028. In the current Eliteserien season, he has scored five goals and provided two assists in 20 appearances, and his market value is estimated at €1.80m by Transfermarkt.
