There was significant transfer speculation regarding Nicolas Raskin's future in the summer. After performing well at the World Cup alongside Kevin De Bruyne for the Red Devils, he remained at Ibrox. Under new manager Derek McInnes, Raskin was not selected for several games earlier in the campaign because a transfer was being considered, but the transfer did not occur. With his contract expiring next season, there are now questions about whether he could extend it. Gordon Strachan does not believe that will happen, and Everton has been named as a potentially interested club. Strachan admits that he would rather leave Ibrox than sign a new deal, regardless of what has been said already. Strachan said that he has always liked Raskin, describing him as a capable player. He added that Raskin is not at the top-six level in England, but could go on to a team like Everton from the group below that level and play there without difficulty.

It is believed that Nicolas Raskin's ultimate goal after Rangers is the Premier League.

Nicolas Raskin was reportedly a target for several clubs, including Everton, during the summer transfer window. As per TBR Football, Everton, Leeds United, and Brentford all made enquiries for the 24-year-old Belgian international, and Leeds is said to have submitted a late bid. Wolves were another club linked with the player. Raskin, however, rejected the interest because he loves Rangers and wishes to stay with the club. He told Walfoot that a move was not an option and mentioned his strong connection with the supporters. The central midfielder's deal with the Scottish team is valid until May 2027, and his current market valuation, according to Transfermarkt, is €10.00m.
