The Brazilian side Vasco da Gama is interested in Real Betis' 26-year-old Colombian midfielder, Nelson Deossa, who may be allowed to leave this summer after having limited opportunities with just eight starts in La Liga. Ipswich Town is the latest club to make an enquiry, while the Argentinian club River Plate and the Brazilian team Flamengo are also interested. Betis would be open to a deal that sees them make a profit, and Deossa's former club Monterrey is due 15% of any money made. The Spanish club, managed by Manuel Pellegrini, is hopeful that the interest from multiple clubs could start competition to sign the player. The uncapped Colombian joined Betis in August 2025 for a confirmed fee of €13.0m and has a contract until 2030. Transfermarkt estimates his current market value to be €9.0m.
