Benfica is one of the clubs that has shown interest in Nahuel Herrera, a 21-year-old Uruguayan central defender who played 40 games and scored two goals for the Uruguayan club Peñarol in 2025. Herrera, who joined the club in January 2025, is also being considered for signing by clubs from Spain and Italy. His contract is valid until December 2027 and his Transfermarkt market value is €4.50m.
