Moussa Diaby Transfer from Al Ittihad to West Ham United
Intermediaries contacted several English clubs, including West Ham United, Aston Villa, Tottenham, Crystal Palace, and Sunderland, regarding a potential January deal for Moussa Diaby, a 26-year-old French winger. Although there was initial intrigue, talks did not progress. According to sources who informed TEAMtalk, the tax implications of a mid-season return to England made any move unworkable, as players face a significant tax penalty if they move back from Saudi Arabia before a two-year period has passed. After Diaby and his representatives became aware of the financial impact, attention shifted to continental options. TEAMtalk understands he is now nearing a move to Inter Milan, and negotiations are said to be at an advanced stage. The French international, who has 11 caps, joined Al-Ittihad from Aston Villa in July 2024 for a reported €60 million and has a contract until 2029. In the current 2025/2026 Saudi Pro League season, he has scored 5 goals and provided 2 assists in 2 appearances. Reports in January 2026 suggested his move to Inter would be a loan with a mandatory purchase option of around €35 million.
