According to reports, Austria Vienna rejected a £400,000 offer from Scottish club Dundee United for Austrian winger Moritz Wels. The player is understood to be seeking more playing time. Austria's Sporting Director, Tomas Zorn, declined to comment on the specific reports concerning the bid. However, Zorn did confirm that the club is in discussions with 'some clubs' about the 21-year-old. Despite this, the sporting director did not rule out Wels staying, stating that at present, the player remains with Austria Vienna. Wels's contract runs until 2027. He joined the club in July 2023 and has a current Transfermarkt market value of €800k. Wels has also earned 9 caps and scored one goal for the Austria U21 national team.
