According to The Athletic, West Ham United want to sign both Edvin Austbø and Mikel Gogorza, and a second offer for Gogorza is expected if true. With a groin injury, Mikel Gogorza missed both legs of Midtjylland’s Europa League qualifiers against Besiktas and also missed both ties as his team secured qualification to the Conference League. The nineteen-year-old has also missed all four league games so far this season and has missed 34 matches with injury in his career. He is a specialist left winger but can also play as a striker.

West Ham are prepared to pay more than £30 million to sign both Austbo and Mikel Gogorza before the end of the summer window.

FC Midtjylland rejected an offer from English Championship club West Ham for Mikel Gogorza. The bid was for over 100 million Danish kroner. According to The Athletic, West Ham's bid was for 12 million pounds, equivalent to 105 million Danish kroner, and this offer was rejected. The 19-year-old Danish and French winger has a contract with FC Midtjylland until the end of 2029. He is currently injured and has not played this season. It is uncertain whether West Ham will make a new offer for him. Gogorza joined the Danish club in July 2024 and has 11 caps and 8 goals for the Denmark U19 team. His current market value is €3.00m, according to Transfermarkt.
