Max Weiss Transfer from Karlsruher SC to Burnley

The Clarets have bolstered their goalkeeping roster with the addition of Weiss. Burnley, having recently secured promotion to the Premier League after amassing 100 points in the Championship last season, has acquired the goalkeeper from Karlsruher SC, a team in Germany's 2nd division. This transfer represents Weiss's inaugural venture outside of his native country. He has committed to a four-year tenure with Burnley, which will extend until 2029. In his remarks, Weiss conveyed his enthusiasm about joining Burnley, highlighting the club's ambitions and the quality of their training facilities. Burnley's official announcement confirms the signing of Max Weiss from Karlsruher SC on a four-year deal for an undisclosed amount.

According to reports from Sky, goalkeeper Max Weiß is close to transferring from Karlsruher SC to Premier League newcomers Burnley. The transfer fee is believed to be approximately 5 million euros, with the mandatory medical examination arranged for Monday. It is expected that Weiß will sign a five-year contract with Burnley. After securing promotion to the Premier League by finishing second in the Championship, Burnley considers Weiß a crucial addition to their squad. Despite interest from VfL Wolfsburg, who had intended to sign him and then loan him out, Weiß is set to join Burnley, likely serving as the backup to English international James Trafford. In his last season with Karlsruher SC, Weiß participated in all 34 matches and conceded 55 goals.
