Mathis Amougou, a 19-year-old French international U19 player, is set to join Strasbourg from Chelsea. He will arrive in Alsace on Friday to finalize the transfer. Amougou was recruited by Chelsea from Saint-Étienne in January for 15 million euros but has played very little in England. He will sign a five-year contract with Strasbourg, lasting until June 2030. The transfer fee has not been disclosed, and Chelsea will retain a buy-back clause as part of the deal. Strasbourg has been working on this transfer for weeks, aiming to strengthen their midfield.
