Matheus Nascimento has joined Los Angeles Galaxy on loan from Botafogo until December 31, 2025, with an option for the club to purchase him. LA Galaxy's General Manager, Will Kuntz, described Nascimento as an exciting prospect, noting that he has played at the highest level of professional competitions in South America since signing at the age of 16 and has been part of Brazil's national teams across all youth categories. At 20 years old, Nascimento arrives at LA Galaxy after scoring 12 goals and providing 7 assists in 98 appearances for Botafogo across all competitions from 2020 to 2025. He significantly contributed to Botafogo's triumphs in the Copa Libertadores and the Brazilian Série A championship in 2024.
