Marvin Ducksch, a 32-year-old former Werder Bremen striker who now plays for Birmingham City, visited his old club's dressing room, which led ex-player Ailton to wonder aloud if he was returning. When a fan later asked about a potential return, Ducksch confirmed it would not be to Werder. A transfer back to Werder is not being discussed. The former Germany international is reportedly a target for Hertha BSC Berlin, with AEK Athens and Real Sociedad also linked. Ducksch joined Birmingham in August 2025 for a reported €2.0 million and is under contract until 2028. His current market value is listed by Transfermarkt as €2.00m.
