Chelsea, which is led by former Bayer coach Xabi Alonso, has inquired about Bayer Leverkusen's 23-year-old English centre-back Jarell Quansah, becoming another club interested in the player. The interest from Chelsea follows a rejected offer from Arsenal last August, when Leverkusen turned down a bid of 65 million euros. Real Madrid is also showing significant interest in Quansah. Quansah's former club Liverpool retains an option to re-sign him for 70 million euros, which is valid until June 15, 2027. Quansah joined Leverkusen in July 2025, has a contract until 2030, and has earned 7 caps for England. According to Transfermarkt, he has a current market value of €45.00m.
