Martin Ødegaard Transfer from Arsenal to FC Barcelona

Reports in Spain state that Barcelona are interested in Martin Odegaard. Barcelona manager Hansi Flick is personally said to be interested in Odegaard. According to Football Insider, Barcelona want to strengthen their midfield and view the player as suitable to control the pace of the game in midfield. However, sources have told TEAMtalk that Barcelona will not be able to afford the total cost, including the transfer fee and salary, to sign Odegaard from Arsenal. Separately, Dean Jones said that he does not believe Arsenal would consider an offer for Odegaard.

It has been reported that Barcelona want to bring Martin Odegaard back to Spain to add creativity to their midfield. According to Football Insider, Pete O’Rourke has confirmed that Arsenal have no plans to consider any offers for Odegaard. The player is under contract until 2028 and would command a high transfer fee if the club were to consider selling him, but that is not something the club is considering. Arsenal want to keep Martin Odegaard and make him a central part of their team.

According to TEAMtalk, Arsenal is anticipated to ask for a price of more than £80 million ($104.3 million) for their 26-year-old Norwegian captain and attacking midfielder, Martin Ødegaard, a figure that is reportedly unaffordable for Barcelona. Ødegaard, who joined the club in August 2021, has a contract that runs until June 2028 and is valued by Transfermarkt at €80.00m. The Norway international has 67 caps and 4 goals for his country. In the 25/26 Premier League season, he has made 6 appearances and provided 1 assist.
