Lisandro Martínez Transfer from Manchester United to FC Barcelona
According to Fichajes, Barcelona are interested in Lisandro Martinez. The report claims that Barcelona's manager, Hansi Flick, has identified Martinez as the ideal player to strengthen the left side of his defence. Barcelona are prepared to attempt to sign the player in the summer and believe €30m / £26m would be enough to complete a deal. The report states that because Martinez's contract expires in 2027, Manchester United are under significant pressure to either provide a new and improved extension or sell him at the end of the season. It is also claimed that Manchester United feel almost obligated to negotiate with Barcelona because of the player's contract situation.
Barcelona are reportedly aiming to secure the signing of Manchester United defender Lisandro Martinez by 2026. The club is seeking a new central defender after selling Inigo Martinez to Saudi Pro League team Al-Nassr, and Hansi Flick has identified the Argentine international as a priority target. Despite Martinez's recurring fitness issues, including a current ACL injury, Barcelona are optimistic that these setbacks might reduce Manchester United's asking price. This interest has been reported by the Spanish publication Fichajes. Barcelona are keen to finalize a deal next year as they search for a new left-footed centre-back. With two years left on his current contract at Manchester United, Martinez is considered a more affordable option compared to Inter Milan's Alessandro Bastoni, whose transfer value is estimated at €83 million. The Blaugrana regard Martinez as an essential transfer target, particularly due to his ability to initiate attacks from the back, a quality that Hansi Flick greatly appreciates.
