Birmingham City and Middlesbrough are reportedly a late challenge to Stoke City in the effort to sign Hull City's 26-year-old Canadian winger, Liam Millar. According to Rob Dorsett of Sky Sports, the two clubs have also begun pursuing the player. This situation is connected to Hull's pursuit of Stoke's winger, Sorba Thomas. An update from Dorsett indicates that Stoke has accepted a bid from Hull for Thomas, which could be worth up to £10m with add-ons. However, Stoke will not approve Thomas's departure until a replacement is signed, and their pursuit of Millar is still active. Middlesbrough are also considering a move for Millar to strengthen Kim Hellberg's attacking options. Millar, who has 44 caps and one goal for Canada, joined Hull City in August 2024 from FC Basel for a fee of €3.5 million. His contract is valid until June 2027, and Transfermarkt estimates his market value to be €5.00m.
