According to Fichajes, Inter Miami are working on a deal to sign both Antoine Griezmann and Koke from Atlético Madrid.

Lionel Messi has made a request for Inter Miami to sign Koke, a 33-year-old Spanish midfielder from Atletico Madrid, for the upcoming year. This is partly to address the gap created by Sergio Busquets, who retired after the 2025 MLS season. Messi communicated to club officials that a new central midfielder and a forward should be signed in 2026, and he identified Koke and his teammate Antoine Griezmann as his two primary targets. Koke is presently in the last six months of his contract with Atletico Madrid and has the possibility of departing next summer. The midfielder has been with Atletico since January 2011 and has 70 caps for Spain. According to Transfermarkt, he has a market value of €7.00m. In the ongoing LaLiga season, he has made 16 appearances, scoring one goal and providing two assists.
