Kieron Bowie Transfer from Hibernian to Hellas Verona

Hibs have rejected a bid from Hellas Verona for Kieron Bowie with a potential value of over £5 million, after the Italian club submitted the offer on Tuesday afternoon. The Serie A side, who want the Scotland international to assist in their effort to avoid relegation, proposed a deal of approximately €5 million with an additional €1 million in add-ons. While this was the first official bid of the window, other teams have registered their interest, with both Rangers and Celtic having been previously linked to the 23-year-old. Interest in the striker from clubs in Italy, Germany, and Belgium was increasing. Verona, who previously bought Josh Doig from Hibs in 2022, are expected to make another offer, but Hibs have a significantly higher valuation of the player. The club is in a favorable position to negotiate as Bowie, who has scored nine goals for David Gray's team, has a long-term contract that runs until 31/05/2028. The centre-forward, who joined Hibernian in August 2024, has 11 caps and 3 goals for Scotland's U21 team and a current Transfermarkt market value of €2.70m.
