Gabriele Zappa, a 26-year-old Italian right-back, is moving to Hellas Verona, who are looking for a significant reinforcement for their defense. According to Sky Sport, Hellas Verona have finalized the agreement for the arrival of the former Inter youth player. Zappa joined Cagliari in the summer of 2020 after a period at Pescara, and his departure has caused the Sardinian club to search for an alternative on the right side of the field. The defender has been capped four times by Italy U21, has a contract with Cagliari running until 2030, and a market value of €3.00m according to Transfermarkt. Other Italian clubs, including Sassuolo, Napoli, and Fiorentina, had also been interested in him.
