According to reports from France, Preston North End are to re-open talks for OGC Nice’s Kevin Carlos. The French club is looking to sell the Spanish forward this summer to raise funds. Kevin Carlos previously rejected Preston as well as Turkish club Samsunspor. However, the Lancashire club appear undeterred by the rejection and are to make another attempt to sign the striker. The forward wants to remain in a European top-five league, but is reportedly becoming more open to the idea of dropping down a division to try and achieve the same level of success he did at FC Basel.

Preston North End are linked with OGC Nice's Kevin Carlos, with reports confirming their interest in the Spanish striker. According to French outlet Nice-Matin, OGC Nice are looking to reduce their wage bill and sell players to help fund their summer spending, with some of their star players also up for sale. This situation could mean Carlos may be available for a lower price. The forward was signed from Basel for €6m last summer, and Nice will probably want to recoup as much of that fee as possible. A potential bid from Preston North End may be a loan deal with an option-to-buy for approximately £3m-4m. Alan Nixon reported via X that the Lilywhites have money to spend in this transfer window and are looking to make statement signings. Turkish side Samsunspor are also interested in Carlos.
