Kees Smit Transfer from AZ to FC Bayern München

Kees Smit is among Bayern's teenage candidates. The price for the Dutch U19 European Champion is currently increasing rapidly and is expected to soon cost 30 million.

Sky Sports reports that Kees Smit is followed by many major European clubs, including Bayern Munich. AZ Alkmaar will not oppose the departure of Kees Smit and is asking for an amount of 25 million euros for his transfer, which would be a record in the club's history.

According to the 'Daily Mail', FCB is interested in Kees Smit. A transfer fee of at least 23 million euros is being discussed, given his contract in Alkmaar is valid until 2028.

Mundo Deportivo reports that promising Dutch midfielder Kees Smit is a transfer target for Bayern Munich. AZ will not oppose the transfer but plans for it to be a record sale, which would require the fee to exceed the 22 million euros Milan paid for Tijjani Reijnders in 2023. Smit's contract runs until 2028.

Kees Smit, a nineteen-year-old midfielder at AZ, has been approached by Bayern München. Smit acknowledged the interest from the German club but decided to stay at AZ. He expressed that he feels comfortable being close to family and friends and highlighted the challenges young players might face when moving abroad early in their careers. Despite the allure of Bayern München, Smit admitted he briefly considered the offer but ultimately chose to remain at AZ, where he feels settled and content. He is aware of the difficulties that come with moving abroad at a young age, as seen with other players, and he prefers to stay near his support system. Smit has a clear vision for his career, dreaming of playing for Barcelona one day, but for now, he is focused on his development at AZ, where he has already made an impact in both the Eredivisie and the Europa League.
