Upon his unveiling, Kaelan Casey said his time at Swansea City was a good learning experience but that he wants to play regular football, believing Orient is the best place for him to get that and also help the club progress. Casey added that he spoke to Lawrence Vigouroux and Ethan Galbraith, who both spoke positively about the structure, the staff and the fans, which was another reason he wanted to join. Orient Head Coach Richie Wellens said that adding another defender was something he wanted and that he is very pleased to have Kaelan with them. Wellens added that Casey has many qualities that will suit the way he wants the team to play.

Leyton Orient have signed 21-year-old defender Kaelan Casey from West Ham on loan until the end of the season. Casey, who has made two appearances for West Ham, spent the first half of the season on loan with Swansea City, where he made 13 appearances.
