River Plate's 22-year-old Uruguayan-Italian center-back, Sebastián Boselli, is reportedly close to signing for Getafe, a club that has been actively seeking to reinforce its central defense. According to reports from Argentina, the transfer involves 50% of the player's rights for a fee of around one and a half million. An agreement is almost complete and has been approved by all parties. Boselli did not travel with his team for a friendly match in Montevideo and is expected to travel to Spain in the coming hours. Boselli joined River Plate in August 2023, with his contract running until December 2026. He has four caps for the Uruguay U23 national team and his current Transfermarkt valuation is €2.80m. Peñarol had also been linked with the player.
