Sport.ro announced that Jovo Lukic could be transferred from Universitatea Cluj to Beşiktaş as a result of his successful start to the World Cup, where he scored against Canada in the first stage.

Beşiktaş is reportedly preparing an offer for Universitatea Cluj’s top scorer. The Istanbul club also followed him during the winter transfer window, but negotiations were not completed at that time. The coach of the Cluj side, Cristiano Bergodi, told PRO TV and Sport.ro that retaining Lukic is becoming an increasingly difficult task and that the player will probably be transferred. Bergodi also said that the player can be sold and will be difficult to keep, mentioning that they will discuss what will happen after the World Cup.

Beşiktaş is working to strengthen its forward line for the new season, and it has been alleged that the club has placed Bosnia-Herzegovina international Jovo Lukić of Universitatea Cluj on its transfer list. Many clubs have shown interest in the 27-year-old forward, with Beşiktaş being considered the most serious candidate at this stage. Although Lukić's contract is valid until 2028, his club is reportedly open to selling him at the end of the season. It is understood that the Cluj management expects a transfer fee of approximately 1.5 million Euro for the player. The forward, who has one cap for his country, joined the Romanian club in July 2025 and has scored 2 goals and provided 5 assists in 15 SuperLiga appearances this season.
