The primary issue is that Hull only wants to loan the 25-year-old, two-time German national player, not purchase him. VfB Stuttgart is reportedly willing to let the full-back leave for a fee between €10 million and €15 million because his performances are viewed internally as too inconsistent. For this reason, talks have reportedly not been intensified.
