Rémy Descamps indicated to Progrès that Hull City had an interest in him during the previous winter. The player stated that it was not his choice that a move did not happen, as he wanted to continue the progress of the previous season, which had begun very well. He explained that when he returned, the coach provided him with the chance to play in the Europa League, which resulted in him playing in approximately ten matches before the winter break. Descamps added that he wanted to continue that series of appearances with the Coupe de France approaching, as there were many matches and he did not want to miss the opportunity.

According to French outlet Le Progres, Hull City placed an offer for Olympique Lyonnais goalkeeper Remy Descamps at the beginning of the current winter transfer window. The outlet also claims the goalkeeper has an estimated salary of approximately £27,300 per week.

Two English Championship clubs, West Bromwich Albion and Hull City, are interested in recruiting Olympique Lyonnais' French goalkeeper Rémy Descamps and offering him playing time. The 29-year-old lost his starting position after a hand injury enabled Dominik Greif to establish himself in goal. While Lyon was open to Descamps leaving last summer, a potential departure was not necessarily in the club's current plans. It has been reported that the club has assured him of their reliance on him. Descamps joined Lyon in August 2024 and has made 4 appearances in Ligue 1 in the 25/26 season. His contract is valid until June 2027, and his market value is €2.00m, according to Transfermarkt.
